Behind The Scenes With RIXO

We were very proud to be chosen as the backstage beauty partner for RIXO’s debut London Fashion Week presentation, where the brand unveiled its Spring/Summer 2019 collection ‘Love Over Gold’.

Aligned in our aim to empower the modern woman in all her shapes and guises, we worked with RIXO to create a bespoke range of beauty looks inspired by the effortless elegance of the RIXO woman.  Dewy and glowing, with subtle washes of colour on the cheeks, lips and lids, the make-up looks are accessible to all, with natural hair and a hint of rebellion in punk-inspired nail art.

MAKE-UP

An effortless, fresh-faced look with barely-there sweeps of colour on a base of radiant, dewy skin with upswept brows.

Shunning eyeliner entirely for a more understated look, make-up artists applied shimmering washes of colour across the eye: for SS19 the models wore a tobacco-stained eye with a high-shine finish, and for the Laura Jackson collection hyper-reflective micro-glitter gave a gentle nod to 80s disco.

HAIR

Stylists worked to create hair shining with health, parted down the middle with a glamorous wave. RIXO hair scrunchies and clips were styled in to finish the look.

NAILS

Graphic monochrome lettering branded the models’ nails with the words ‘LOVE’ and ‘GOLD’ and, true to the spirit of rebellion, a random spattering of ‘RIXO’s.

For the Laura Jackson collection, the models sported jet-black manicures, glossy enough to reflect the lights of the disco. Sun-infused shades of blue and orange added a pop of colour to the feet.
