How to prep and prolong your wax

  • Make sure you have no irritation or broken skin on the area you are getting waxed.
  • Ideally, you should not book an appointment unless you have at least ¼ inch of hair. For most women this is 2-3 weeks growth.
  • Exfoliation is key to a good wax; it loosens up dead skin cells and lifts trapped hairs.
  • Think long term. With regular waxing sessions your hair becomes more sparse and the growth rate decreases. Try to resist shaving in between!

Do your mobile wax therapists use hot wax?

Yes, depending on the treatments, some of our mobile wax therapists use hot wax . If you have a special request for hot wax please detail this in your booking request or contact us directly so that we can ensure an appropriate therapist comes to you.

Can I have a wax and spray tan at the same time?

We do not recommend having a wax and a spray tan at the same time. If you were to have the spray tan first, waxing will remove the tan. If you were to have the wax first, this opens up your pores which may cause the tan to develop unevenly and can cause some irritation to the skin. You should wait 24 hours after your wax before you have a spray tan.

Where should the therapist set up?

We want your experience to be a relaxing one, therefore we would recommend that our mobile therapist sets up in a room that is private and warm. Our waxing professionals will need access to a power socket, good lighting and running water. They will also need enough room to set up their beauty couch; these are about 6ft long and 2ft wide.
