HOW IT WORKS
What to expect from your at-home massage
A sports massage pinpoints specific areas that tend to be problematic, or certain muscle groups that are tight or stressed from repetitive movements. So, whether you are a champion marathon runner or have been tied to your desk all day and are feeling the strain, a therapeutic sports massage is a great way to relieve the pain and tension in areas of the body that have been overworked.
Training to the next level
Sports massages enhance training by improving flexibility, speeding up recovery, and increasing blood circulation.
They reduce muscle soreness and inflammation, deliver more oxygen and nutrients to muscles, and aid in waste removal.
Minimise the risk of injury
Sports massages minimise the risk of injury by maintaining muscle elasticity and enhancing flexibility.
They help identify and address minor issues before they become major problems, reducing muscle tightness and imbalances.
Regular massages ensure proper muscle alignment and joint mobility, preventing strains and sprains. By promoting better lymphatic drainage and reducing inflammation, sports massages keep muscles healthy and resilient.
Relieve pain and tension
Sports massages relieve pain and tension using techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release.
These methods target muscle knots and tightness, improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation.
Trigger point therapy addresses specific pain points by applying pressure to relieve tension. Incorporating customised sports massage treatments into your routine can effectively alleviate pain and tension, enhancing overall physical well-being and performance.

How should I prepare for my mobile sports massage?
We always advise having a hot shower or bath before your mobile sports massage. This can help you to relax your muscles before treatment begins and may also help improve muscle recovery after the massage.
We recommend that our mobile sports massage therapist sets up in a room that is private and warm. It’s important to make sure that you have space for the massage bed, which is 6ft long and 2ft wide.
Your therapist will bring everything else for your home sports massage treatment, including a massage bed, relaxing music (if desired) and a selection of essential oils.
Please note, that for hygiene reasons we are ask customers to provide their own towels.
What should I wear to my sports massage?
Our sports massage techniques include the use of oils, so we recommend that you undress to your underwear for the treatment – or to a level you’re comfortable with. We recommend wearing a dressing gown so you can start your treatment sooner.
On arrival, your home sports massage therapist will prepare the bed, music and oils and then they will step outside so you can get undressed in privacy. At the end of the treatment, your therapist will leave the room to allow you to get up at your own pace and get dressed.
Please note, it is required that underwear is worn throughout your sports massage treatment.
