In short
What is a lymphatic drainage massage?
A lymphatic drainage massage works along the lymph lines to stimulate the lymphatic system and move trapped fluid, helping your body clear waste more efficiently. It comes in two forms: a gentle classic technique and a firmer Brazilian technique that sculpts. Secret Spa brings both to your home in London.

About the treatment
What a Lymphatic Drainage Massage does
A lymphatic drainage massage de-puffs, drains and leaves you feeling lighter.
In its firmer Brazilian form, our most popular option, it adds sweeping strokes that sculpt and define the contours, a favourite before an event or travel.
It works along the lymph lines to stimulate the flow of fluid the lymphatic system clears away. Our guide explains how lymphatic drainage works and what it does.
Either way it is done at home in London, so you can settle straight in afterwards with no journey to break the calm.

FAQS
Want to know more?
What is the difference between lymphatic drainage and Brazilian lymphatic drainage?
A classic lymphatic drainage uses light, rhythmic strokes to move trapped fluid, de-puff and support the immune system. A Brazilian lymphatic drainage works firmer, with sweeping strokes that sculpt and define the contours as they drain, for a more noticeable, instant lightness that makes it a favourite before an event or travel.
What are the benefits of a lymphatic drainage massage?
It de-puffs, reduces swelling, boosts circulation and supports immune function, so you feel lighter and rebalanced. Its tailored technique is often chosen by those managing fluid retention and conditions such as lymphoedema.
What happens during a lymphatic drainage massage?
Your therapist follows the lymph lines with gliding, compressing and sweeping strokes, light and rhythmic in the classic technique, firmer in the Brazilian. The movements encourage fluid through the nodes and tissues rather than letting it settle.
How should I prepare for my at-home lymphatic drainage massage?
A warm shower beforehand helps you relax. Have a private, warm room ready with space for the massage bed, which is 6ft by 2ft, and your therapist brings everything else.
What should I wear for a lymphatic drainage massage?
The treatment uses oils, so undress to your underwear or to a level you are comfortable with; a dressing gown is handy for greeting your therapist. They step out while you settle on the bed, and again at the end.
Can I request a specific massage therapist?
Yes. Save and rebook your favourite therapist any time through the Secret Spa app, or note their name in the special instructions when you book online.
