What is eyebrow threading?
A twisted cotton thread is rolled across the skin to lift several hairs at once, straight from the follicle. It shapes a very clean line because your Brow Technician can take a single row of hairs at a time, which is why it suits detailed shaping.
Does threading hurt more than waxing?
Most people find it a sharper but shorter sensation. Threading pulls hair without pulling the skin, so there is less redness afterwards and no risk of the skin lifting.
Is threading better for sensitive skin?
Usually, yes. Nothing is applied to the skin at all, so there is no reaction to wax, resin or fragrance. It is also the safer choice if you use retinol, acids or Roaccutane, where waxing is not recommended.
How long does eyebrow threading last?
Two to four weeks, depending on how quickly your hair grows. Because the hair is removed from the root, regrowth comes back soft rather than stubbly.
How long does a threading appointment take?
About 20 minutes. Your Brow Technician brings everything, including a treatment bed, so there is no salon trip either side.
Can I have threading if my brows are already waxed?
Yes. Many clients switch between the two. Let your technician know at booking and they will work with whatever regrowth pattern the wax has left.
How do I know which brow treatment is right for me?
Your Brow Technician recommends the right option at the start, based on your natural brows and the look you want. Tinting adds depth, lamination lifts and sets the hairs, and threading or waxing tidies the shape.
Will my brows be shaped to suit my face?
Yes. Your Brow Technician works to your natural brows, face shape and colouring, tailoring the finish to you rather than a set template.
Can I request the same Brow Technician each time?
Yes. Once you have found a Brow Technician you like, you can request them again so your brows stay consistent.
