What is eyebrow waxing?
Warm wax is applied along the brow line and lifted away, taking the stray hairs with it. It clears a whole section in one pass, which is what gives waxed brows their crisp, defined edge.
How long does eyebrow waxing last?
Three to five weeks for most people. Wax removes hair from the root, so regrowth is softer and slower than shaving or tweezing.
Will eyebrow waxing irritate my skin?
Some redness for an hour or two is normal. Your Brow Technician applies a soothing product afterwards, and you should skip heat, swimming and make-up on the area for the rest of the day.
Can I have my brows waxed if I use retinol or acids?
No. Retinol, glycolic and salicylic acids and Roaccutane thin the skin and it can lift with the wax. Stop for at least five days beforehand, or book eyebrow threading instead, which puts nothing on the skin.
How long does a brow waxing appointment take?
About 20 minutes. Your technician brings the wax, the aftercare and everything else, so there is nothing to set up.
How much hair do I need to grow before an appointment?
Around two weeks of regrowth gives the wax enough to grip. If you have been tweezing, leave it a fortnight so your technician has a full shape to work with.
How do I know which brow treatment is right for me?
Your Brow Technician recommends the right option at the start, based on your natural brows and the look you want. Tinting adds depth, lamination lifts and sets the hairs, and threading or waxing tidies the shape.
Will my brows be shaped to suit my face?
Yes. Your Brow Technician works to your natural brows, face shape and colouring, tailoring the finish to you rather than a set template.
Can I request the same Brow Technician each time?
Yes. Once you have found a Brow Technician you like, you can request them again so your brows stay consistent.
