A quick and highly accurate nose and throat swab to detect the presence of active Covid-19 infection. There is an option to include a Negative PCR Swab Doctors Certificate.
The swab samples will be taken in your home by a Doctor. The PCR swab uses samples from the back of the nose and throat to detect current, active coronavirus infection with very high accuracy. This PCR swab test is suitable for those that have current or recent symptoms or those that have come into contact with an individual who may have Covid-19.
Results are analysed in an accredited medical laboratory and delivered within 48 hours. A Negative PCR Swab Certificate can be provided if you need to travel overseas and require a negative Antigen PCR test to be provided on arrival along with a travel certificate signed by a medical professional. You will receive your certificate within 48 hours of the swab being received by the laboratory. We recommend undertaking the swab 72 hours before you travel.

A medical professional will visit you in the comfort and convenience of your home, hotel or office and take a small sample of blood which will be analysed in a top London Laboratory using a Public Health England-approved test with a specificity of 100% & sensitivity of 97.5%. This is the most accurate test available on the market.
The scientists are not yet sure if the presence of antibodies mean you are immune. What we can say is that having IgG antibodies to other viruses within the coronavirus group is associated with at least short-term immunity to re-infection. However, you should continue to follow the governments’ guidelines regarding social distancing and protecting yourself and others against infection.

A Negative PCR Swab Doctors certificate can be provided, which can be used as evidence that you do not have an active coronavirus infection.
The Covid-19 Antibody Tests provide confirmation of past infection by identifying the presence of IgG antibodies in your blood. This antibody test is suitable for individuals who have had symptoms more than 14 days ago.
The Covid-19 Swab Test uses Universal Transport medium swabs, which show a minimum specificity of 100% and sensitivity of 98%, with no cross-reactivity with other viruses.
For the Covid-19 Antibody Test, Effect Doctors uses the Public Health England-approved Abbott IgG test to provide you with the most reliable and accurate results. This has a specificity of 100% and a sensitivity of 97.5%.
In both instances a doctor will visit you in your home to carry out the tests, wearing full PPE including mask and gloves. Sterile, single use equipment is used.
The Covid-19 Swab Test involves a PCR swab, which takes a small sample from the back of the nose and throat.
The Covid-19 Antibody Test requires the doctor taking a small amount of blood, which is couriered on to the laboratory for analysis.
