What To Expect From Your Mobile Massage?

One of the most luxurious parts of booking a massage at home is how effortless it feels. No travelling, no post-treatment stress — just expert care in your own calm space. But to get the very best from your session, a little preparation goes a long way.

Here’s how to prepare, what to expect and the small post-massage steps that can make a big difference to your overall experience.

What will the therapist bring, and what should I prepare?

Your therapist will arrive with everything needed for your treatment — a professional massage table, towels and a selection of oils. All you need to do is prepare a quiet, comfortable space.

Massage tables are typically around 6ft long and 2ft wide, so clear enough room for setup. We recommend warming the space beforehand and, if possible, taking a hot shower or bath before your appointment to help loosen muscles ahead of the session.

How can I create a spa-like atmosphere at home?

A private, warm room is ideal. Consider drawing the curtains, dimming the lights or playing soft music to enhance relaxation. Scented candles or essential oils can also help set the tone, especially for a calming massage focused on stress relief.

Your therapist will arrive and prepare the table and treatment space. From there, everything is designed to feel seamless and serene.

What should I wear for an at-home massage?

Our treatments use oils, so we recommend undressing to your underwear or to a level you feel comfortable with. Your therapist will step out of the room before the massage begins, giving you time to undress and lie on the table in privacy. They’ll return once you’re ready, and will ensure you're covered throughout the session.

Please note that underwear must be worn for all treatments.

How is the massage tailored to you?

Your experience is entirely personalised. Your therapist will complete a short consultation before beginning, asking about any medical conditions, allergies, injuries or areas you’d like them to focus on. You’ll also be asked about preferred pressure and overall comfort.

If you’d prefer the massage to be carried out in silence, just let your therapist know at the beginning of the session. Your preferences are always respected.

What happens during the massage?

Once you're comfortable on the bed, your therapist will begin the treatment and work through each area, keeping you covered with towels as they go. You’ll be asked occasionally about pressure and comfort to ensure you’re fully supported throughout. If turning is required, they’ll guide you discreetly while maintaining your privacy.

Afterwards, your therapist will leave the room to allow you time to relax, redress and ease back into your day. They'll quietly pack down the equipment and leave you to enjoy the afterglow of your treatment.
